You guessed it, I mean postal mail, not mail as in newsletter marketing. Piece of paper as Letters, Postcards, Self-Mailers, Dimensional Mailers, Catalogs, and All-In-One Packages. Now, I’m pretty much sure you guessed as well, direct mail marketing still works.
What is direct mail?
This is basically a physical one-way correspondence where sender, usually a business offers services or products, expecting to engage with customers.
In a digital age ruled by advertising services such as Google Ads Words, Facebook Ads, Twitter Ads, YouTube, Instagram Ads, Snapchat Ads, and so on, there seems to be no place for postal mail marketing. However, that’s far from reality. As per record on the United States Postal Service website, they sent 77 billion pieces of marketing mail in 2018. Data for 2019 is not yet available. Just looking at these numbers makes us understand how direct mail marketing is still a serious business.
